Nadeem N. Moghal, MD, Medical Director

Board Certified in Anesthesiology by the ABA with Subspecialty in Pain Medicine

Biography

Dr. Moghal joined the Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management team in 2006, and has since become the Medical Director. Dr. Moghal attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH for his undergraduate training. He went on to attend the Medical Academy of Lublin, Poland for his medical degree, followed by a residency at Cleveland Clinic’s Division of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. He went on to complete a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Pain Management Center. Dr. Moghal is a fantastic leader as medical director, and a dedicated provider to his patients. Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management is extremely lucky to have Dr. Moghal as our Medical Director.

Brandon Stokey, MD

Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine

Biography

Dr. Stokey is an anesthesiologist with fellowship training in pain management. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Anesthesiology at The University of Toledo Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed advanced fellowship training in Pain Management at University Hospitals in Cleveland. Dr. Stokey focuses on comprehensive and interventional approaches to treating acute and chronic pain, with the goal of improving patient function and quality of life.

Fritz Breckner, D.O., MPH

Board certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine

Biography

Dr. Fritz Paul Breckner is a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician who advanced his expertise through a Pain Management Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology. Under the guidance of Program Director Dr. Rajiv Shah, Fritz completed his training in pain management at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, in July of 2024.

Dr. Breckner’s medical journey began with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in 2011. He further developed his clinical skills during his Emergency Medicine residency at McLaren-Oakland Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident from 2011 to 2015. His commitment to leadership and education continued as he became an Associate Medical Director at McLaren Greater Lansing and the Emergency Medicine Residency Site Director from 2020 to 2022.

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Breckner holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of South Florida, with concentrations in Environmental Health and Global Health, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Dr. Breckner is board-certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABOEM) and is licensed to practice in multiple states, including Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, South Carolina, and Texas. His certifications include Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), ensuring he is well-prepared for critical care situations.

In addition to his medical achievements, Dr. Breckner served as a Captain in the U.S. Army National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to service and leadership. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family, reflecting his belief in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. His diverse educational background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of both clinical practice and public health initiatives. His commitment to patient-focused care combined with extensive experience in emergency medicine, makes him a valuable addition to our practice.

Grace Varilone, PA-C

Physician Assistant – Pain Management

Biography

Grace Varilone, PA-C, is a physician assistant who has specialized in pain management since 2013, bringing extensive clinical expertise to Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management. She earned her Physician Assistant degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. Prior to joining CC4PM, Grace worked within the Corewell Health and Trinity Health systems, where she provided care to patients of diverse backgrounds, ages, genders, and races. She is committed to treating every patient with respect and empathy, while also bringing positivity and humor to situations that are often difficult and sensitive.

Debra Putano, LPCC

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Biography

Debra Putano, LPCC, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo in 1995, graduating Cum Laude, and later earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2012. Her career in mental health began at St. Vincent Medical Center, where she worked as a Mental Health Tech, followed by a similar role at St. Charles Hospital. Debra then advanced to a Psychologist Assistant position at River Centre Clinic, where she focused on monitoring and processing behaviors and emotions related to eating disorders, as well as facilitating psycho-educational groups.

She furthered her career as a Mental Health Therapist in Case Management with Behavioral Connections, and has gained extensive experience in counseling and therapy since 1996. Debra specializes in working with the adult population, providing both individual and group therapy. Her areas of expertise include treating depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and pain management. Through her varied experiences across different clinical settings, Debra has honed her skills in providing comprehensive mental health support to those in need.

Samantha Deeter, CNP

Certified Nurse Practitionerr

Biography

Samantha brings over a decade of nursing experience, beginning as an LPN and advancing through RN, BSN, and earning her Master’s in 2024. Her clinical background includes emergency medicine, mental health, and neurology.

Samantha is passionate about preventative medicine and is excited to begin this next chapter in her career. She has been driven by her husband, her daughters and the memory of her grandparents, her dedication and compassion are at the heart of everything she does.

Cathy Wright, CNP

Certified Nurse Practitioner – Palliative Care & Pain Management

Biography

Cathy Wright is a dedicated and highly experienced Nurse Practitioner specializing in palliative care, pain management, and end-of-life care. With over two decades in the healthcare field, she has committed her career to improving patient quality of life through compassionate, individualized care.

In January 2025, Cathy joined Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management as a Certified Nurse Practitioner, where she focuses on helping patients manage chronic pain with a holistic, patient-centered approach. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care to enhance their comfort and well-being.

Prior to this role, Cathy spent nearly a decade with ProMedica Physicians Group, working exclusively in palliative medicine and hospice. She played a key role in coordinating care for patients with chronic and life-limiting conditions, specializing in pain and symptom management, patient advocacy, and end-of-life decision-making. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she gained extensive hands-on experience as a Registered Nurse in hospice, medical-surgical units, and acute care settings.

Cathy holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Toledo and maintains active certifications, including CPR/AED and state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Ohio and Michigan. She is known for her empathetic approach, effective communication, and commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. Through her work at Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management, Cathy continues to provide exceptional care, empowering patients to manage their pain and improve their overall quality of life.

Megan Savage, FNP-C

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Biography

Megan Savage joined Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management in 2023. Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toledo in 2007. After graduating, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Toledo Hospital in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Department through 2020. Megan continued her education and received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2019 with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Megan is also associated with the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses. Most recently, Megan served as a Nurse Practitioner at The Little Clinic in Waterville before joining our team at Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management.

Stacey Ice, CNP

Certified Nurse Practitioner

Biography

Stacey L. Ice, CNP, joined Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management in 2022. Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing as a Registered Nurse from Bowling Green State University in 2010. Six years later in 2016, she received her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Toledo. Stacey began working at the University of Toledo Medical Center as a nursing assistant in the emergency department, and for the next five years after, worked as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on orthopedics/vascular at Hillcrest Hospital, and float pool nursing at University of Toledo Medical Center. Most recently, Stacey was a Nurse Practitioner at Toledo Clinic Pain Management.

Nichole Lynch, MSN, FNP-C

Certified Nurse Practitioner

Biography

Nichole Lynch, CNP received her nursing degree from Lourdes University in 2002. She began her career as a Registered Nurse for St. Luke’s Hospital, working her way up to Charge Nurse. She later went on to earn her Master of Science in Family Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Nichole later went on to work at ProMedica Senior Care as a Nurse Practitioner, before joining the Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management team in 2021.
