William G. James, Jr., Director, M.D.
Dr. James is
the founder and director of CCPM, and president of DECA Health. He
completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan,
and his medical degree from Wayne State University. Subsequently, he
did residency training in general surgery and anesthesiology at
Wayne State University Affiliates Hospitals and Medical College of
Ohio, respectively. Dr. James served as an anesthesiology and pain
medicine practitioner as well as the Director of Medical Education
in Anesthesiology at The Toledo Hospital, and is a Diplomate of the
American Boards of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr. James was
the primary catalyst behind the inception of CCPM in 2003, and since
then has grown the organization exponentially while continuing
studies and lectures on the latest technological advances in pain
medicine.
Nadeem N. Moghal , M.D.
Dr. Moghal
received his undergraduate training at Case Western Reserve and his
medical degree at the Medical Academy of Lublin, Poland. Thereafter
he completed a fellowship with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Pain
Management Center after his residency at Cleveland Clinic’s Division
of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. He joined CCPM in
2006, and is now an active partner of CCPM, as well as giving
frequent educational programs on pain medicine topics. Dr. Moghal is
certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with Sub-Specialty
Certification in Pain Management.
Howard A Black, M.D.
Dr. Black completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and
circulation technology at Ohio State University, and his medical
degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston,
SC. His residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in cardiothoracic
anesthesiology were then completed at Ohio State. He has served as
staff anesthesiologist and Chief of Anesthesiology at Toledo and
Flower Hospitals, and also joined CCPM shortly after it first opened
in 2003. Dr. Black is certified by the American Board of
Anesthesiology and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pain
Medicine.
James A Weiss, M.D.
Dr. Weiss
received his undergraduate training at the University of California,
Berkeley, and his medical degrees and residencies in anesthesiology
at UCLA where he was also Chief Resident. He served as Chief of
Anesthesia at the Maxwell USAF Base in Alabama, then subsequently as
a professor and attending anesthesiologist at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center. Dr. Weiss then relocated to the Cleveland area,
where he served among other assignments as attending
anesthesiologist with University Hospitals of Cleveland. He began
commuting from Cleveland to work with CCPM in 2005, and subsequently
relocated to the Toledo area in 2009. Dr. Weiss is certified by the
American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of
Anesthesiology with Qualifications in Pain Management.
James
Otting, M.D.
The newest member of CCPM’s
medical staff is Dr. James Otting, who joins us in 2011. Dr. Otting
is originally from the Toledo area, having attended Central
Catholic High School. He received his undergraduate training in
bioengineering and chemistry at the University of Toledo and his
Doctor of Medicine degree of Medical University of Ohio (MCO/UTMC).
Subsequently he completed a surgical residency at Rush Medical
Center in Chicago, and residency in Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (where
he was Chief Resident). Dr. Otting joins us after completing his
Pain Management Fellowship at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in
Pittsburgh. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation and Academy of American Physiatrists.
